1. Service Description

QuickVerify ("the Bot", "we", "us", "our") is an automated verification service for Discord servers. The Bot:

• Verifies users through Discord OAuth2 authorization
• Checks if users are members of servers on a banned server list (configured by server administrators)
• Assigns roles based on verification results (verified or unverified)
• Provides server administrators with an admin dashboard for managing verification settings
• Offers paid subscription tiers with additional features and higher usage limits

The service offers both free and paid subscription plans and is designed to help Discord server administrators manage access control. Free tier servers have usage limits (verified users, banned servers, etc.), while paid subscribers enjoy higher limits or unlimited access depending on their plan.

2. Eligibility

To use this Bot, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU without parental consent)
• Have a valid Discord account in good standing
• Comply with Discord's Terms of Service: discord.com/terms
• Not be previously banned from using this Bot

By using this Bot, you confirm you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Paid Services & Subscriptions

We offer paid subscription plans with enhanced features and higher usage limits.

3.1 Pricing Tiers

The Bot offers the following subscription tiers:

• Free (Community): Limited features with usage caps (100 verified users, 10 banned servers, etc.)
• Pro: Enhanced limits and features for growing communities (£9.99/month)
• Enterprise: Unlimited usage and premium features (£49.99/month)

Current pricing is available at /pricing. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

3.2 Billing & Payments

Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc., our third-party payment processor. We never store your credit card details.

• Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed monthly on the date you subscribe
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless canceled
• Payment Methods: Credit cards, debit cards (via Stripe)
• Currency: All prices in USD

3.3 Free Trial

We may offer free trials for paid plans at our discretion. When a trial ends, you'll be automatically charged unless you cancel before the trial period expires.

3.4 Subscription Changes

• Upgrades: Take effect immediately. You'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing period
• Downgrades: Take effect at the end of your current billing period
• Cancellations: You can cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of your paid period

3.5 Refund Policy

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: First-time subscribers can request a full refund within 7 days of their initial purchase.

No Refunds for Renewals: Subscription renewals are non-refundable. Cancel before renewal to avoid charges.

Pro-Rated Refunds for Downgrades: If you downgrade mid-billing cycle, we'll credit the difference to your next invoice.

Exceptional Circumstances: We may issue refunds on a case-by-case basis for exceptional circumstances (service outages, billing errors).

3.6 Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

• We'll attempt to charge your payment method up to 3 times over 10 days
• You'll receive email notifications from Stripe about failed payments
• If payment continues to fail, your subscription will be canceled and you'll be downgraded to the Free tier
• Your data will be retained, but features will be limited to Free tier restrictions

3.7 Chargeback Policy

Contact us first: If you have a billing issue, please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Most issues can be resolved quickly.

Chargeback consequences: If you file a chargeback without contacting us first:

• Your subscription will be immediately terminated
• Your access to paid features will be revoked
• You may be permanently banned from using paid services
• We may pursue legal action for fraudulent chargebacks

3.8 Usage Limits & Enforcement

Each subscription tier has usage limits (e.g., number of verified users, banned servers). When you reach a limit:

• You'll receive a notification in the admin dashboard
• Actions that exceed your limit will be blocked
• You'll be prompted to upgrade to a higher tier

No credit for unused capacity: If you don't use your full allocation, you won't receive credit or refunds.

3.9 Service Level Agreement (Enterprise Only)

Enterprise subscribers receive a 99.9% uptime SLA. If we fail to meet this:

• You'll receive service credits equal to a percentage of your monthly fee
• Credits are calculated based on the duration of the outage
• Credits are your exclusive remedy for downtime

SLA excludes scheduled maintenance and outages caused by third parties (Discord, hosting providers).

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Bot only for legitimate verification purposes. Acceptable uses include:

• Verifying your account to gain access to Discord server channels
• Re-verifying when verification expires (if enabled by server administrators)
• Contacting server administrators if you believe you were incorrectly denied verification
• Requesting deletion of your data through proper channels

5. Prohibited Uses

Violation of these prohibitions may result in:

• Immediate ban from using the Bot
• Reporting to Discord for Terms of Service violations
• Reporting to law enforcement if illegal activity is suspected

6. Your Responsibilities

5.1 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Discord account
• Keeping your verification link confidential
• Notifying server administrators if you believe your account was compromised

5.2 Accurate Information

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information during verification (Discord handles this automatically)
• Not attempt to falsify or manipulate verification results

5.3 Compliance

You agree to:

• Comply with these Terms of Service
• Comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

7. Server Administrator Responsibilities

If you are a server administrator using the admin dashboard, you additionally agree to:

• Fair Use: Configure banned server lists fairly and for legitimate security purposes
• Privacy: Respect user privacy when accessing verification data
• Security: Keep your admin credentials secure and not share them
• Manual Verification: Use manual verification responsibly and only for legitimate cases
• Compliance: Ensure your use of the Bot complies with applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

8. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Bot, including all software, code, designs, and documentation, are owned by us or our licensors.

You do NOT acquire any ownership rights by using the Bot. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the Bot's code or design
• Create derivative works based on the Bot
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

The Bot is built licensed under MIT.

9. Disclaimers

• Availability: The Bot may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
• Accuracy: Verification results may not be 100% accurate
• Compatibility: The Bot may not work with all Discord server configurations
• Uninterrupted Service: We may suspend or terminate the service at any time
• Data Preservation: While we implement backups, we cannot guarantee data will never be lost

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability
• Implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose
• Implied warranties of non-infringement

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• We are NOT liable for any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which may be £0 for free tier users)

This limitation applies even if:

• We were advised of the possibility of such damages
• A remedy fails of its essential purpose
• Damages result from our negligence (to the extent permitted by law)

You specifically acknowledge that we are NOT liable for:

• Discord account suspensions or bans
• Server access denial due to verification failures
• Data breaches affecting Discord or other third parties
• Actions taken by server administrators based on verification data

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us, our affiliates, and our respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Bot
• Your violation of these Terms of Service
• Your violation of any third-party rights (including Discord's Terms of Service)
• Your violation of applicable laws or regulations

12. Service Availability & Termination

12.1 Service Changes

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot at any time with reasonable notice (except for emergencies)
• Change features, functionality, or pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers
• Impose limits on certain features or access

12.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Bot:

• Immediately if you violate these Terms of Service
• Immediately if you violate Discord's Terms of Service
• At our discretion for any reason or no reason

12.3 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through the admin dashboard or Stripe Customer Portal. Upon cancellation:

• Your access to paid features continues until the end of your billing period
• You'll be automatically downgraded to the Free tier
• No refund for partial months (unless within 7-day money-back guarantee)
• You can resubscribe at any time

12.4 Termination by You

You may stop using the Bot at any time. To delete your data, use our self-service deletion tool at /user/delete-data or contact us at [email protected].

Note: Deleting your data will immediately cancel any active subscriptions with no refund.

12.5 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Bot immediately ceases
• We may delete your data according to our Privacy Policy
• Provisions that should survive termination (disclaimers, limitations of liability) will continue to apply

13. Data Protection & Privacy

Our use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Key points:

• We collect minimal data (Discord ID, username, avatar, verification status, subscription data)
• We do NOT collect emails (except for support) or store your full server lists
• Payment information is processed by Stripe - we never see your credit card details
• We automatically delete most data within 90 days to 1 year (payment records retained 7 years for tax compliance)
• You have rights to access, delete, and correct your data

By using the Bot, you acknowledge you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute, please contact us at [email protected] first. We'll try to resolve it informally within 30 days.

14.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of The UK, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14.3 Jurisdiction

Any legal action related to these Terms must be brought in the courts of The UK. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.

14.4 Arbitration (Optional)

If we elect to add an arbitration clause in the future, it will be updated here with notice to users.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top
• We will increment the version number
• For material changes, we may notify users via Discord or the admin dashboard

Your continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you don't agree, you must stop using the Bot.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

17. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Bot and supersede any prior agreements.
